Although Cynthia Conlin has called Orlando, Florida, home since 1989, she was born in Queens, New York, to where her great-great-grandparents emmigrated from Ireland (most likely from Donegal) in about the 1850s. Ms. Conlin is still learning about her Irish ancestry and renewed her interest in Ireland through her marriage to a Dubliner and annual visits to Ireland to visit new family in Dublin. Most recently, in 2013, Ms. Conlin began learning Irish dance; she hopes to someday be able to do the high-hops of Lord of the Dance.
An entrepreneur herself, Ms. Conlin is passionate about business and entrepreneurialism, and sees the Chamber as an excellent opportunity to merge her passions in business, Ireland, and Florida. Ms. Conlin has been a litigation attorney in Orlando since 2007 and has run her own practice since 2010. She practices in copyright infringement, business litigation, and more. She graduated cum laude from Florida A&M University College of Law, Orlando, and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Central Florida.
